Finite Element Modelling for Slope Stability and Seepage for Landslide Mitigation Workshop Conducted at IIT Jammu

Innovative Systel successfully conducted a three-day technical workshop on "Finite Element Modelling for Slope Stability and Seepage for Landslide Mitigation" at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu from 20 to 22 November 2025.
The workshop was designed for researchers, faculty members, postgraduate scholars, and practicing geotechnical engineers seeking to strengthen their understanding of advanced numerical modelling techniques used in geotechnical engineering. Through expert-led technical sessions and practical demonstrations, participants explored the application of finite element methods in analysing slope stability, seepage behaviour, and landslide mitigation strategies.
The program focused on modern approaches to geotechnical analysis using industry-leading engineering software, enabling participants to model complex soil conditions, evaluate groundwater flow, assess slope performance under varying loading conditions, and develop reliable mitigation measures for landslide-prone areas.
Throughout the three-day workshop, attendees engaged in hands-on exercises, interactive discussions, and real-world case studies that demonstrated how finite element modelling can support informed engineering decisions in infrastructure projects involving embankments, cut slopes, dams, retaining structures, tunnels, and hill roads.
The sessions also highlighted the importance of numerical analysis in improving design accuracy, reducing project risks, and enhancing the safety and long-term performance of geotechnical structures.
With over 25 years of experience in engineering software solutions, technical training, implementation, and consultancy, Innovative Systel continues to collaborate with premier academic institutions, government organizations, consultants, and industry professionals to promote advanced engineering technologies and practical learning.
We sincerely thank IIT Jammu for hosting this technical workshop and for providing an excellent platform for knowledge sharing, research collaboration, and professional development. The enthusiastic participation of faculty members, researchers, and students made the program a valuable learning experience for everyone involved.
