Technical Workshop on OpenFlows WaterGEMS & HAMMER Conducted at SJVN, Shimla

Innovative Systel successfully conducted a technical workshop on OpenFlows WaterGEMS and OpenFlows HAMMER by Bentley Systems at SJVN Limited, Shimla. The session was led by Mr. Munish Bansal, who shared practical insights into hydraulic modelling, water distribution network analysis, and surge analysis for modern water infrastructure projects.
The workshop was designed for engineers and technical professionals involved in the planning, design, operation, and management of water supply systems. Through interactive presentations and live software demonstrations, participants gained a deeper understanding of how Bentley's OpenFlows solutions can be used to design efficient water distribution networks, analyse system performance, optimize operations, and improve the reliability of critical infrastructure.
A key highlight of the session was the demonstration of OpenFlows HAMMER, which showcased the importance of surge analysis in protecting pipelines, pumps, and other hydraulic assets from pressure transients and water hammer effects. Participants also explored the capabilities of OpenFlows WaterGEMS for hydraulic modelling, network optimization, demand forecasting, and operational planning.
The workshop encouraged active discussions, allowing engineers to exchange ideas, address real-world challenges, and learn best practices for implementing digital engineering workflows in water infrastructure projects.
As a trusted provider of engineering software solutions, technical training, implementation, and support, Innovative Systel remains committed to helping organizations adopt advanced engineering technologies that improve project efficiency, enhance decision-making, and support sustainable infrastructure development.
